DeWorming I: The new base formula for this flake is our Garlic Flake. We've demonstrated the effectiveness of garlic in dealing with internal nematodes (round worms) in our own experiments. The combination of a natural de-wormer along with a very effective drug gives your fish their best chance. One feeding of this food exclusively, every other day for 5 total feedings will give the proper dosage. Feed the fish only once on the day of the treatment at the end of the day. They should be kept hungry, so they will eat vigorously. Repeat the full treatment after 3 weeks.

Active ingredient: fenbendazole. Fenbendazole is only slightly water soluble, so this medication will still be quite effective if not eaten within 10 seconds. Also contains beta glucan for immune boosting. We recommend feeding our Prevent & Recover Flake for 1 week after the medicated feeding is discontinued. For ornamental fish use only.

DeWorming II: The medication base of this flake is geared towards internal cestodes and flatworms. We even have found it to be very effective at eliminating gill flukes. It is also made with Garlic Flake for additional protection. Give one feeding of this food exclusively, every day for 5-7 total feedings. Feed the fish only once each day of the treatment at the end of the day. They should be kept hungry, so they will eat vigorously.

Active ingredient: praziquantel. Praziquantel is only slightly water soluble, so this medication will still be quite effective if not eaten within 10 seconds. Also contains beta glucan for immune boosting. We recommend feeding our Prevent & Recover Flake for 1 week after the medicated feeding is discontinued. For ornamental fish use only.

DeWorm 3: A garlic based flake that is designed to kill nematodes (capillaria, camallanus, etc). It targets parasites similar to the ones our first De-worming Flake is designed for, but it works in a totally different manner. It is good to alternate medication types occasionally to help prevent the development of worms resistant to the one medication. This food should be fed exclusively, once each day for two days. Feed the fish only once each day of the treatment at the end of the day. They should be kept hungry, so they will eat vigorously. Repeat the full treatment two more times, 2-3 weeks apart.

Active ingredient: levamisole HCL. Also contains beta glucan for immune boosting. Levamisole is water soluble, so the 10-second feeding method is a must (See Article section of Tabs). We recommend feeding our Prevent & Recover Flake for 1 week after the medicated feeding is discontinued. For ornamental fish use only.

It is a good idea to get the fish accustomed to our flakes if you haven't been feeding them, before offering the medicated flake. The medication doesn't taste the best and many fish will ignore it, unless they are very accustomed to the base flake. We recommend you get the fish eating either our Freshwater Flake or The Works Flake very well, before attempting to feed the medicated flake. Making it a part of their diet for a couple feedings each week, will give you the best chance of getting your fish to eat the medicated flake vigorously.

Properly treating diseased fish is one of the most difficult things a hobbyist can do. Most bacteria and internal parasites are best treated from inside the fish. Freshwater fish do not drink. They take in water through osmosis, which does not allow medication to enter. Therefore, putting the medication in the water has little effect, unless you're treating for an external parasite or a body fungus. The best route for a hobbyist to take, is to use a medicated food. This gets the medication inside the fish, where it can do its work. We have developed a treatment system that will enable hobbyist to become much more successful at treating their fish.

This is AMAZING food! I have a Red Wag Platy that I've had for about a month and a half now. I noticed about 3 weeks ago two bright red spiked coming from her vent, and she was always hiding and looking distressed. Research taught me these were camallanus worms. Day two of the deworm3 and she expelled BOTH WORMS! I am so hopeful she'll live - unheard of with those worms!! THANK YOU ANGELS PLUS!

Anyone having trouble getting rid of the cmalanus worms, should read the online instructions more carefully. I couldn't get rid of them until I following the directions to the letter. Then it worked great.

It's hard to find a medicated flake that works, but the deworming 3 flake took care of a capilaria problem my angels had. I am able to check them with a microscope and the worms are gone.

my angelfish has been infected with camallanus worm, he likes the food and eats a lot right after i put the food in, less that 5 min he already done with all the food. however, i have been feeding him De-worm 1 for 2 weeks and he still have the worm hanging down the anus. this is not working for me. I wonder how much medication were in the food?

Hi Steve,

A few months ago I had a nasty camallanus worm infection. Your deworming flake knocked it right out. Ever since I have been only feeding my fish your fine food and will continue to do so for as long as my family and I are in the hobby.

Angels Plus is the best!!
